Invalid
The number may be mistyped, inactive, pending or affected by an incident.
Limited data
Some countries confirm the status but do not return a name or address.

Why does VIES not show a company name or address?

What happens if VIES is unavailable?
The order remains pending and the system retries. A support form is available if the process stalls.
Does a valid result prove that a company is reliable?
No. VIES does not certify solvency, debts, contractual performance or commercial reliability.
